Akademi & Award Kreatif Sawit Indonesia (AKSI)

AKSI 2021 was held during the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary challenge was to promote palm oil digitally to college students while consistently increasing the distribution of palm oil information through the Mitos & Fakta Industri Sawit digital book. To achieve this, we aimed to engage students in a more interactive way by encouraging them to transform the book's data into creative content. Additionally, we faced a tight deadline, particularly regarding establishing communication with Sandiaga Uno, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

To address these challenges, we leveraged our community network to invite Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) as guest lecturers for online creative classes. These sessions were specifically designed to empower college students to transform data from the Mitos & Fakta Industri Sawit digital book into creative content, effectively driving both engagement and book distribution. Simultaneously, we addressed the tight deadline with the government by sending a formal proposal to Minister Sandiaga Uno, highlighting the critical link between palm oil plantations, national eco-tourism, and the creative economy

The initiative successfully achieved four key milestones: attracting 300+ online attendees, driving 500+ downloads of the digital book, engaging 100+ college students in creative competitions, and securing 3 national media coverage placements. This success was further bolstered by the participation of Minister Sandiaga Uno as the keynote speaker, which validated the strategic connection between the palm oil industry and the national creative economy.
